Free Pool Table - needs resto
« on: March 20, 2010, 10:27:00 PM »
Council garbage pickup starts in my suburb (Wollongong) from Wednesday, and yesterday I saw a pub style pool table on a front lawn that is getting thrown out. Had some rubbish on top of it but I didn't notice any rips. As far as i can tell the coin entry is covered with a thin piece of timber. Some thin timber lifting around the edges but would be easy to restore I reckon. I didn't get a good chance to have a look cause I was busy working. The property is at the end of a road in a dead end street at the top of a hill so not many people will see it I reckon it will still be there. I reckon the owners are loaded with money by the look of their HotRod car collection in the garage. Anyone interested in the location shoot me a PM.
What is the world coming to when you can walk down the street and find a pub pool table sitting on the side of the road!?? Incredible.

Please some one grab it....   I always said that i would own the 20c pool table from my childhood pub.   Id actually done a deal with the publicans wife then found out her husband smashed it and sent it to the tip the very same week  not knowing i wanted it !!!

Claimed by Tony Illawarra Steelers going to grab it today if it's still there. Would have grabbed it myself but nowhere to put it, and if I did it would be taking up valuable future pinball real estate.

I agree they do take up raluable pinball real estate...BUT they are very good for laying parts out on and assisting with playfield rebuilds...That was the only thing my pool table was ever used for!
