FLIPPERESCUE SERVICES
« on: December 21, 2008, 08:22:46 PM »
Flipperescue originally started out as a website for the artwork restoration of pinballs.. the idea was to have a site on par with Clays electronic guides... a definative guide to pinball restoration. problem was that people kept asking me to do the work for them, so a rethink was done and now Flipperescue is a service to anyone that requires it or just doesnt want to recreate the work themselves.

On offer are;

PF restoration and clear coating
backglass touch ups - thread coming soon!
Apron resprays
cabinet stencils for YOUR respray - these are done by request. Let me know the machine you are working on. The stencils are recreated by hand via computer file, cut by computer and then couriered to your door.
2 types of stencil available dependant on the type of paint you are using.
Standard stencil is masking vinyl designed to be used on perfectly flat finishes....
Absorbant stencil - for those using acrylic base and spray cans especially gloss which leads to bleeding. Mask is absorbant and so reduces bleed on the edges.

Full instructions on stencil use is provided also

Flipperescue any relationship to the former pinball rescue from a few years ago?  They had some great products.

This is for ALL pinball machines - any era. I like to do restores in the style that the artwork was done originally, but obviously, if its minor touch up work on a decal thats required, then this can be done much quicker and cheaper by hand

Peter,

Aprons are difficult believe it or not - mainly due to the small text that is on them.
Im not big on decals for what was originally a painted apron and so i like to paint these, but sometimes this just isnt possible.

Im working on new techniques to restore aprons to EXACTLY how they should be - paint.

In the meantime - each apron is taken on on its own merits. Ill tell you exactly what can and cannot be done and give you the pros and cons,

So send me pics of the GORGAR apron and ill take a look at it,

Cheers  gav
