CFTBL CUSTOM CAR MOD
« on: May 19, 2010, 04:39:45 PM »
I liked the idea of the car mod for my CFTBL but didnt like the idea of covering a chev with a ford so i decided to make my own.  Found this die cast model in a servo in Queensland for $10 and im very happy with the results

Sorry Leon id forgotten all about this here you go.

Using this Led from jaycar http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=ZD0140&CATID=33&form=CAT&SUBCATID=428

And the resistor shown on the diagram the hardest part is mounting the leds into the car a small amount of solder and some heat shrink and your done you could even add tail lights to the rear of the car simply by making a second circuil like the front  ^^^

 Hope this helps

Dont laugh at my diagram im sadling lacking in the wotto skills

Stole the Led and resistor from the net and free handed the rest  %.%

You guys are MAGIC
I'm doing the Creech speaker panel mod (as we speak) as per your methods.
From memory, the car kits on the market ran out at about $100?
Whatever, they were overpriced in my estimation.
Thanks again
Max (aka Pinprick)

My good mate Elkor Alish (Mark) just presented me with a 1:40 scale YELLOW '57 Chevy - ideal!
Yellow ties in beautifully with the p/f  and Pink is unobtainium anyway. Works  perfectly  - here it is . . .

I liked the effect so much that I added a Red 1955 Thunderbird above the "Slide" Plastic.
Hooked it into the 6v slide lamp and away she went.
Now for something from 1952 - that was the best of all years. Ahem.

Looking good max.  If I ever get time to rebuild my Cftbl I think the second car looks like a good idea
