Fixing Plastics
« on: June 18, 2010, 06:26:10 PM »
How would one go about repairing plastics that have broken. One is a ramp, near the entrance, the other just a standard plastic.

Thanx

Interesting, she doesn't actually tell you what to use to glue it together with which is what i really am after. The backing idea is neat however.

pretty sure she uses super glue and then uses the backing method  to hold it in place because the super glue will fail after a few ball impacts, !@# thats the way i interperted the video !@#

Dont use superglue it will turn the clear plastic into a lovely smokey white use clear araldite the two part glue or if its the ramp entrance sides i like to make up stainless brackets to cover the whole area if possible  ^^^

i read the spec sheets that are linked to it and it says it can dry from anywhere between clear and yellow (depending on the batch) so if you do buy this do a test run with it first on some scrap plastic first.

the 2 part araldite then, and bracing would make a better job of it
