I think these are pretty much impossible to find

I have looked at using electrical conduit as an alternative

I'm not sure if the dimentions are right but this sign track looks close to the designyou may be able to alter something like this to suit or possibly you may be able to find a better match with a search of the retail shopfitting industry. anyway here is the link if your interested http://www.beemak.com/c88_p422/sign-trak_centre_with_adhesive_-_96_long_clear.html

Hi Oldpins,

How did you go with the search for Gottlieb strip? I am looking for at least 1 piece myself.

Cheers
Dave

I think something like this would be useful - one side can be trimmed, and then the base can be stapled to the cabinet. Great potential !

Here is a proflie I am looking at. I need to find out the width from the supplier. As mentioned by 'strangeways' one side could be trimmed. There are a number to choose from, matter of finding out which one would work. 5 or 6 mm would be best. !@#

Over the holiday break I've been exploring a replacement for the glass strip on early Gottlieb EM's  !@# (Can't find it available anywhere). Had a play around and came up with this PVC profile which will do the trick. A few mods are made to the strip to allow a staple gun to fix, or pin with small nails to the top edge of the cabinet. There maybe a slight hangover of PVC strip (.5 mm - 1 mm ) on the inner cabinet edge, however should not effect PF lift up & down. If it is a problem, can be lightly sanded back. I'm looking at making this up cut to size in the future.

Sounds like it will work well. When you mention "overhang" do you mean the section that sits directly below the fitted siderail ?

The cabinet sides are 20 mm in thickness. The strip base is 21 mm wide, if fitted level with the cabinet outer edge there is a small over hang on the inside of the cabinet of .5 to 1 mm.

Great stuff!
