Coil voltages
« on: August 16, 2010, 09:20:57 PM »
 2 coils.

One is labelled 24/800 made for Williams machines

Second is labelled 24/950 made for Midway machines

Williams coil is rated at 24V

Midway coil is rated at 50V.

Apart from the extra 150 windings.. they are exactly the same coil yes?

To the best of mu knowledge they are the almost the same the voltage is what the machine runs at.  The coil would have more pull in the machine with the higher voltage .

Wouldn't the voltage rating indicate thicker wire on the Midway coil?

24 is the wire gauge, 800 or 950 is the number of turns.
So both coils are the same voltage.
24/800 would pull slightly higher at either voltage.
