Pinball Tales - Air Brushing setup

Hi guys,

With the mound of playfield restoration work constantly popping up on the forum by our members, i thought i'd develop a starter kit for people who want to give it a go themselves.

This is still very much in the early stages, but i'm looking at providing a kit that is ready to use straight 'out of the box'.

This will include,

3.8 litre 1/2 hp compressor
- Oil free pump so it can be used safely inside (and maintenance free  )
- Only 83db (which keeps everyone else happy  )
- Lightweight and easy to move (specifically designed with contractor work in mind)
- Could also be used with a brad nailer or air stapler (regrounding work  )

The compressor will look almost identical to this (It may not brand the PTales logo )


I'm still waiting for more details regarding the Air Brush specs...

6 piece Air Brush Kit
- Suited to model makers and enthusiasts due to its fine spray nozzle

Like i stated, kit is still in the early stages - but if you were interested in getting into airbrushing (obviously doesnt have to be specifically pinball related) this might be a good package for you.
If you're interested, simply send me a PM stating just that. This will give me some ideas of numbers - which will give me some leverage with distributors, and i can get the price DOWN 

I will get an exact price during the week for people interested and reply via PM. I will also post the price here for any others that may be interested.

Hope this helps some people out, and gets a few more people into airbrushing

This will be a very interesting thread, Timbo ! An area where I have NO ARTISTIC flair at all - But I'm keen on getting started.

Airbrushing and clearcoating are areas that are difficult for me to understand as most people who are proficient in this area make it look too easy - and often overlook the details when documenting it.

It's been great to see so much interest in the airbrushing setup, with members really wanting to get started on their own projects. I appreciate the feedback and support, and I should have final pricing today/tomorrow at the very latest.

I use my airbrush quite often but not for artistic stuff, mainly for painting small objects and solid colour playfield and cabinet touchups which i mask up.
but if i tried to airbrush a picture it would probably come out like a kids painting.
I have found it so much more economical than spray cans for small stuff. The paint goes so much further.

I'd be interested to see what sort of price these work out as well.  I can see it would come in very handy for a heap of things other than pinball machines.....young kids and walls don't mix real well at times.
