3 balls or 5 balls
« on: September 06, 2010, 06:40:04 PM »
What's your preference,on my bbh under tournament mode with 3 balls i have scored 61 million odd with no extra balls, and in normal mode with a 5 ball game with 2 extra balls best i can do is 49 million odd go figure, anyone else have this happen to them, sometimes a 5ball game feels like it drags on a bit then other times a 3 ball games only lasts 1 minute and is over too quickly.

The last bit of your post sounds like my sex life lol.

But back to your question when it's on 5 balls the setting make itbharder to get a high score because you have extra chances with the other two balls

Had this discussion some time in the past - same answer, maybe. 3 x balls for SS, 5 x balls for DMD.

I actually have mine set to the opposite . 3 balls for DMD and 5 balls for SS . These are basically the settings you would find on sited pins that I played when I was younger so I've stuck with it .

A lot of it comes down to the gameplay of the pin . Some games require 5 balls to get the most out of them . Others are just way too easy with 5 balls .

I prefer 3 balls but sometimes set it to the max you can have in the beginning to see what the 'happy ending' looks like (wizard modes). Then I reset to 3 and strive for the wizard modes from there on.
Still loving my Metallica Premium

I normally go for 5 balls.
When I was a kid we used to avoid places that set them at 3 ball.
Old habits die hard I guess..
Lets go Brandon!

I think the answer can be sung to the old marching tune "Colonel Bogey"

Hitler, he only has one ball . . .
Goering has two but small . . .
Himmler has something similar . . .
But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all.

Or maybe you can whistle it - a la Bridge on the River Kwai?

I remember the early SS games seemed to be a mixture of 3 and 5 ball on site, and always looked for the 5 ball games. So I set mine on 5. The DMD's are on 3, and FH (being in the middle) gets three - I tried it on 5 but the rules on 3 are more fun.
