Rollover switches.
« on: October 11, 2010, 07:53:37 PM »
When fixing my Williams sys7 cosmic gunfight, I had to reset one of the wireform rollover switches, like the out lane, but further up the machine.
Adjusted leaves as per the book, cleaned contacts with business card, made sure wireform wasn't fouling the playfield,
but it still doesn't register about 1 in 5 times. Am I doing something wrong? Or have I missed something out, perhaps someone has a trick that they might want to share with me?
There are actually 2 of them playing up but the one above is giving me grief.
Contacts seem to be reasonably healthy but its hard to tell without pulling the switch apart, not that its a problem but I would rather not unless necessary.
Cheers,
Lets go Brandon!

Think I may have sorted it. Seems I should have cleaned it a bit better. Cleaned the contacts with some isopropyl on a cotton bud and now it seems to be good as gold.
Should never overlook the obvious I suppose...

It sucks when you overlook the simple things but at the same time it's great when it's a simple fix
