Employee Manager of a factory owned Diesel Engine Sales and support business in the beautiful Hunter Valley supporting mainly Mining and Transport Industries.

Mechanic by trade with electrical as a hobbie along with yabbies and pinballs!

Pinballs provide a relaxing retreat from engines and managing people.

When u ask most guys who work in the industry "how many pins do u have" most of them say none.

This is because 90 % of the time they would have had an outrageous offer which is to good to refuse !

Money talks and the hobby is their bread and butter... They can do without the pin if an outrageous offer has been made....  #@#

Some people have big HEADS !

Plastics die setter / molding technician, injection, extrusion and blow moulding. (Been molding shit for 20yrs)

Currently running a polycarbonate injection molding and silicone flow coating plant (the only one in the southern hemisphere apparently?) - makes car headlight lenses for Camrys, Falcs, Terris, Statesmans etc.

There was 2 of us who knew how to run the place & setup the machines - they retrenched the other guy 6 weeks ago... Now I live at work...  @.@
Why is it called PMS?

sell pinballs machines and parts #@#

That's enough - he who has the best job in Australia.........bloody bragger.

Im a Knife setter....have been since I left school...
Good luck trying to guess what the hell a Knife setter is..lol

Not 100% sure what it is but is must pay pretty bloody good the way you can swap your collection around every week.

lol  not bragging
its just fun...

Shit mate, if I was you I would be bragging my hairy little arse off.  Seriously, stress of the last few months aside, you would have to have one of the best jobs going round.  I could see that it may dampen the thirst for playing machines when you can do it all day at work.  Does with me and boats, sold my personal boats and haven't driven a boat recreationally for years.

i still enjoy a game on my pins and are happy to show them off
this saturday I showed my AFM with a new playfield and decals  and I must admit I am looking forward to bringing it home again and playing it
I played BBB  this week and had a ball ....  even with the ball fault  I still nearly got top score ...
my wife keeps asking me to bring Judge back ...

this has been a long and hard year ,  well it all started abit over 12 months ago
with first talks with IPB  and has been 8 or so months talking to stern to get that too.
i never thought either would happen  or maybe just one  but to get both  well  just blew me away
many thanks must go to Damien.

oneday i will write up the stories and the meeting  , sitting with Gary and Gene   the talks the and the effort  , these deals took along time to happen .
and how it never got out amazes me , the first container from IPB was on its way here before anyone new .

its funny how everyone thinks that the guys who work in the pin industry have the best job out.we think that, most guys in the industry dont.

When u ask most guys who work in the industry "how many pins do u have" most of them say none.
I know Mark is probably the exception because he has a collection listed, but most arcade/pin guys see the items they have as stock only, a simple means to a dollar.

i went into a sellers premises recently and looked at an amazing minty condition junkyard pinball, it had just been traded, that moning, when i remarked with enthusiasm about how good it was, the seller just said "just another piece of wood to me".

but, yes, we would all like to have marks job for a few weeks for sure ! for us, it would be fun.  ^^^

yes some of the dealers here in Melbourne hate pinball and see it as a job .  its not a job to me , I get more enjoyment when I drop off a pin and see the smiles
to see my little girsl smile when they play  makes my day worth while .  I dont sell a pin  , you can come and play mine and if you want one fine  but i dont believe in High presure carsalesmen .

I still look to container days and to get a pin I havent seen  .
when we got a container in with a CC in , we all couldnt wait to power it up  .  I did get high score that day andhave never let them forget it ...
mind you it was the worst CC we have ever had  but I have it still and have spent way to much $$$ and time on it  , but its mine  and lives at home

Pinball is meant to be fun .. somedays  I can say its not and a little over 12 months ago  i was giving it away . now  I think I will be round for a few more years ....

Well said Mark.

Eeasy going and straight down the line. The best two ingredients for a very successful business.  ^^^

And the guys from STERN would have been impressed that a couple of Aussies had flown half way around the world to buy their product.
Its always nicer to have people wanting your product, than having to go out and market it. STERN should be very happy and so are all the members who are buying the LIMITED EDITION LORD OF THE RINGS. Should be a real nice pin. Cant wait to see one.

When I get a bigger house/shed with 3 phase - no worries!

Same old shit - we can make anything given enough money! Get me a tool, and a machine to put it in and no worries! I think Mark now owns a fair bit of tooling... Just don't ask him what!  %.%

Coulda got hold of surplus thermoformers from ACI years ago (They make meat trays the same way you make pinny ramps) - If only I had known...  !!@
