CFTBL LED's finished - finally
« on: November 13, 2010, 08:40:26 PM »
So I finally bought the little GREEN '86' LED's for my CFTBL.
It looks AMAZING!

Again  ( with LED pics ) I will state that images dont do LED's justice - the 'glow' from LED's that gets created in photo's from ordinary camera's like mine isnt as big and noticeable in real life / gameplay.
Therefore I did a little video as well and you should notice that the glow isnt there like it is in still photo's.

The 8 little bastards in the bowl took me 2 friggin hours to get right ( so they made good contact ) - it was a pain in the ......
I also put 1 x frosted white LED with a green condom over it in the lower right slingshot GI bulb holder - CFTBL owners will realise why I did this, as that one GI globe can be very bright in your eye.
ALL other Gi is stock standard incandescent lighting.
I might also cut a green translucent right sling plastic - I dont know why they made this blue from the factory  *!@

I have other LED's scattered throughpout this game in the 'appropriate spots'
I never liked YELLOW LED's , however Melissa at Cointaker sent me a 'flexible' yellow LED and I put it under the big Mega Menu insert and it is GREAT.
These 'flexis have bayonet bases BUT the head / light is at the end of 2 x flexible wires that allow you to position the light where you need it to aim.

I also made all the FLASHERS in the playfield GREEN and put superbright flashers in the START MOVIE inserts ( WHITE in those 2 )

ENJOY  ^^^

I have NO idea why I titled this movie 'neons' - I have had a BIG day :lol

Looks great Wotto love the green theme of the LEDs in the CFTBL.

Nothing like having a cold one and playing a few games after a couple of hours work.

My son asked about this machine today. I think he wants it back  %.%

Looks awesome, Wotto. You have really lifted the standards on LED placement (if there is such a thing)  @@^

Fantastic looking mod Wotto, absolutely love it!

And now, on with the show!
