Nice work mate, I missed this thread the first time you posted.
I can see how it would be hard to get motivated, lots of work for little progress, but the results are worth it  ^^^

First 2 pac CC went down on the weekend. This layer is there simply to seal the work thats already done and allows me to go over the top with a brush in hand and complete the black lines... any cock ups can be wiped without corrupting any other paint.
I have to say that with this thin layer down, the PF already looks stunning... it is so vibrant!

I'm looking forward to seeing this playfield again. Fantastic restore! Keep at it Gav. When you say you're sick of looking at it I get a 'picture' of a job really well done. ... and you're right about it being about discipline ... just like being really good at anything.

That is fantastic work. I am in awe of your level of patience. My son and I are currently doing up one of these where the white ants got to the cabinet and backbox. Luckily the only good things left were the backglass,  playfield (mylared) and the electricals. I think it is much easier to make a new wedge head backbox and converting the donor cab than the job you are doing. Just amazed at the lettering.

HOLY COW!!!!!
Persistance has paid off... its taken 2 years to repaint this PF. Ive had to walk away a few times.. wife's had babies, hospital stuff... you name it, its happened.
But today i FINALLY finished painting this PF.
Only the final CC layers to go... get this...ALL THE HARD WORK IS DONE!!!!

I keep refining and refining further, but in the end you get to a point where it all stops and you say... Thats it done now.

I know Fezlar will be pretty happy..

Holy shit Gav , that's a marvelous job #*# #*# #*#
From what you had to start with it's amazing that you could get it to look as good as this.

Thanks.... it did wear me down, must admit... its a total repaint. Doubt ill ever do one again.

But already my mind is thinking about that BANK A BALL that had a PF repaint that needs finishing... and then CAPT FANTASTIC that needs a whole new cab... and of course STAR TREK that needs a PF restore... and not forgetting  AMAZING SPIDERMAN.. been in bits so long, not sure ill get it back together again.
I forbade myself to touch these games till i had this finished... once that CC is done..... well....

Jeez Gavin, not even a crumb on that PF.  It's clean enough to eat from.  Absolutely awesome!
