Translite problem
« on: June 19, 2011, 11:03:43 AM »
In my early days of owning my first pinball I decided to clean the glass on my translite. Both sides. Now even after 15 years and a few attempts to dry the glass, I still have that bubble/wet look on the translite. It looks similar to when you put oil or petrol in water and you get that pearl effect. You only see it when the game is off.

Any tips on this one? I'm guessing maybe removing the translite from the glass for an extended period of time??

Also I think mr sheen was the cleaning agent?

I think they all do it from what I have seen? Just the nature of the beast - plastic film against glass........

I have always used Mr Sheen, but after getting off all the grime a fresh chux or piece of flannel to dry and remove the residue. ^^^

I had the same problem the best way toget rid of it is like Daniel said windex the glass, clean the translight with water with a little soap added. dry with a soft rag, let dry completely then put back together.
