flash sound board

one of my/mitchell flash sound boards had phoenix roms installed.
easy i say just get new rom.rom arrives install and no go.
ah,jumpers need changing,changed jumpers.horay it works.then stops 1 ball later.
caps , i think.so mitchell does caps on the weekend.first real board work for him.
plug in.works for a whole game and stops.mmmm sockets,,stay tuned

oh yea, didn't we replace the sockets! still nothing! although the amplifier was working! there is one rare chip that hopefully is ok

well the saga continues,buzzed out all the traces to and from chips.and found missing lines,shorted pins,three days later i have sound.but only from the self test,i.e not from inputs.
replaced input chips 4050's and 4068.still no go.this board is really giving me the sh..ts.
