TAF chair lights
« on: July 22, 2011, 08:03:47 PM »
Is it just my TAF or do the lights fall out of all TAF chairs.
About every 20 games or so one of the led lamps fall out of the chair which is a real pain ,
I replaced both lampholders when i restored it .
Any ideas??????????? !@#

Make sure the globe holders are lined up with the chair itself. Even try playing the game without the plastic chair mounted. See if the 555 lamps fall out. I did notice this problem once and it was because the chair plastic was brittle and had shrunk, forcing the globes out.

Two measures I take to alleviate this problem . . .

(1) Tighten the clips in the lamp base by gently levering them together with a fine blade s/driver
(2) Lever the "wires" on the 555 itself outwards using the same tool.

Friction does the rest - simple, but effective in my experience.
