WMS Flipper board Type 1 - - NOW READY - - .....
« on: August 04, 2011, 07:00:26 PM »
Well the finished PCBs have arrived from the factory BUT the connectors that I bought have 'gone astray' in the post somewhere.......I intend to assemble the finished boards using these connectors:

So I have re-ordered another bag of 500 connectors today - another weeks delay I guess...

I decided to assemble one for a test using whatever I had to hand. Here you can see the finished replacement alongside the original and the laser cut insulator I will provide is seen in the middle. The insulator should stop the corrosion of the replacement board. Originally the PCB bolts straight to the metal bracket.

The replacement as it will be supplied (but using the correct white connector as shown above):

Assembling the board to the bracket with the new insulator

and - installed in my BSD working 100%

I expect finished boards to be available in about week (when the connectors arrive).

STOP PRESS - IDIOT ALERT!

OK - the young fella turns up for work -

"what happened to these 7 pin connectors for the Opto board?  I ask

"I put them away over here" - he says

I slap myself on the head and start assembling boards............

Well done. I have a slight problem lifting up play fields and looking at manuals. Would this suit a theatre of magic? Also will you be producing pcb's for dual flippers games like TZ?

TOM uses a 'type 2" flipper board - this is close on our list of boards to make - probably a month or so away.

TZ flipper board part number is A-15894 but it seems identical in every respect to our A-15878 - size, wiring, connectors - everything. I can't see why our board wouldn't slot straight into a TZ??

Someone else may have other information?
