Price Check....RFM
« on: September 26, 2011, 09:03:08 AM »
As the title says, what is one of these in good condition worth these days? My kids are bugging me for one and I like it as well.
I am thinking around 2.8k tops for a nice one...any thoughts?

Ya pricing is spot on. I know a few sellers who have quite a few RFM's sitting in stock.

I will send you a price guide and their details via a PM Daz.

RFM is a great machine.

The factory pinball promo video is below. Its always fun to watch these manufacturer's videos. You learn heaps about a machine that way.  ^^^

Its quite sad that Williams/Bally didn't stay in the pinball carrer, i was watching this:

and thought that video was interesting and how many things had changed... it's not like stern have tried anything big except toys!

I owned a RFM about 8-9 years ago, Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Modes made the game very linear.
Traded it for an AFM, Never looked back.

I like RFM and AFM.
There is no way I could justify the $$ for a AFM, cool game for sure, there are better players around but this pin is great fun all the same.....but worth the dollars some peeps ask for it...imo...hell no.

I agree afm is pricey, but "better players around"? Thats a big call! While some expensive games reflect things other than pure gameplay, I think the price reflects the playability in this case.

The just under 3k pricing for a neat rfm us about right. fun game, will eventually add ine when I tire if some current game down the track.

Only "better players" imo and I should have mentioned better players for the price as well.
It's a great game for sure.

Love to know which games are better players- seriously. I haven't played every game ever made, and if there are sine i've overlooked would like to try them out. Any suggestions?

why is rfm even being compared to afm? it would be like complaining about the taste of a pineapple when you were really after a pink lady. definitely a sub 3k pin. id say price wise 2020 up to 2992 for a schmick example. ive played rfm a fair bit and own a swe1 and they make better meet pins then a game youd grind by yourself after work. which will be great if its a pin you will be playing with your boys. with the pin2k you play the story line more so then the shot(s) themselves.

I haven't played them all either, doubt I ever will.

I made the comparison due to the trade I did back in 2002 - RFM for AFM.
Back then RFM was still pretty new & worth a little more than an AFM.
