Glare guard question:
« on: October 23, 2011, 04:40:08 PM »
I know there have been previous posts about eliminating glare (or reflections) on the p/f glass from a lit DMD.

The four options appear to be:

(1) No glare guards of the solid plastic type - abt $10, work fine but I reckon they're hideous.
(2)            "             "     polarised film type - abt $10 I've seen installed and they're generally OK.
(3)            "             "     microlouver film type - abt $40 haven't tried these.
(4) Non refelective p/f glass - way outside my budget.

I guess my question leads to how good are the microlouver aka. vertikua aka. 3M privacy screen sort of filter.
The material used is the same as anti shoulder-surfing privacy screen for laptops etc. So if it's used in the horizontal plane it oughta do the trick?

Can anyone illuminate me? (shitty pun)

Thanks

PP

The pre-cut with sticky dots microlouver "Glare Guard" is available from Pinball Pal at US$39.95 each (less for quantity)

Once again - has anyone tried it?
