How do you feel about coloured legs?
« on: November 06, 2011, 09:32:16 AM »
I am getting a WOZ, and as anyone who has had an interest in this game, it will come with sparkly emerald green legs and rails

Hmmmm.

I know some games have come out standard with colored legs, RoadShow, Shrek, and some have come with brass plated legs and rails
Some people have enhanced their games by painting or powder coating the metalwork

I have swapped the standard black legs and lockdown bar on my Spiderman to chrome, but have not bought chrome rails (yet)

While WOZ green is nicer than Shrek green, I think one colored game in a room will look odd and may change them to black or chrome

Opinions?

Pete

Good thread Pete.

I reckon leave it the way it is. Let it stand out. Thats what is good about having something unusual, it declares itself as different, and therefore gives a depth of difference to other machines. All legs the same would be boring. I can understand people going from say silver legs on a Indianna Jones to gold legs, or standard silver legs on a machine to beautiful chrome, powder coated black n shiny from boring flat black, and even adding say gold legs to a theatre of magic instead of silver then wrapping gold chains around the legs etc, all good moves in my opinion.

Even changing black stock legs to chrome is fine, or even say putting red legs on a spiderman, with some black web work, all great ideas. Having everything stock can be boring, but changing the emerald green of The Wizard of Oz, would be a mistake. Let it stay a WOZ, straight from the factory in all its beauty. Let it be different and stand out, which is why they probably went that way to start with. Shld be a very very nice machine for sure. Well done on ordering one.  ^^^ ^^^

Green legs, not a fan at all... and definately not good after a big night on the drink...would make me wanna puke.
I would change them to chrome asap.

Resale loss after changing orig legs ? Just thought about that !  !@# !@# (you would have to keep the originals or a drop in price might occur).

I reckon keep the green ones on as this is the first JJP machine and should stand out especially the only machine with a LCD etc.

I would be thinking more about the flippers - red slippers .... mmmm

Have ordered one as well and when I first saw the green i thought yuk,but as time go on i starting to wear on me.Not sure with the flippers as will wait and see what the game looks like in the flesh before i do anything.

Done the chrome work on spiderman but the thing that stands out the most is a chrome door.
