What would make you sell your collection?
« on: November 15, 2011, 11:27:16 AM »
Besides from being cash strapped and needing to do so, poor health or just wanting to sell them and start all over again with some newies, is there any other hobby or anything for that matter that would make you sell your pin or pin collection?

Anything that was a family need. Aside from that, I can't think of a good reason unless I lost too many fingers to be able to flip buttons.

cant see any reason to ever sell.  the only reason to sell is if u got sick of pinball totally and wanted to put the money into more property/real estate or something similar.
cant see it happening at this stage.
Behind every garage door could be a pinball collectors

The only reason I'd sell any of my coin op collection is if one of my kids got sick & I needed some quick cash.

Apart from a medical expense for a family member, there's no way I'd sell my collection. It would be like losing a limb, I would not know what to do with myself.

I honestly cannot even contemplate a life without pinball..

I can imagine life without pinball.....quite easily actually.
You would find that indeed you would know what to do with yourself.

Nup. Tried it once. Took up fishing for 3-4 years and only played the odd game of pinball. Didn't work out at all ! Rods are gathering dust - which is a shame, as I thought it would be a relaxing hobby.

Love fishing, love pinball.

Actually, I have too many hobbies which makes it difficult to choose which to concentrate on at any particular point in time!

Yeah I like fishing too.
I was thinking more for a change of lifestyle.....a very good mate I went to school with is about to go an play on the asian golf tour for 3-6 months next year.
He wants me to come and caddy for him for part or all of this trip, who knows where this might lead to.
Beauty says I..all sweet..missus is ok with it...good to go...except the start up cash and covering cash to get from place to place and feed and house myself etc and I don't want to go there just waiting on a prizemoney finnish for my 10% cut...it may not come..hence the idea of selling the boat anchors.
