Help for a Dutch pinhead living in Thailand...
« on: January 17, 2012, 01:49:35 AM »
Had a cry for help via my website for a Dutch guy living in Thailand who has a pin there. He had DMD issues and we went back and forth several times with emails with me suggesting what voltages to measure and how to rectify his problem.

Cut a long story short - he was a bit lost technically and wasn't really able to repair it himself and couldn't find anyone there to touch it! How he wound up with it in Thailand I have no idea  !@#

Anyway, in the end he decided to buy one of my WMS hi-voltage replacement boards which only takes a few minutes to install and with no soldering. Here is his email received tonight:

"Dear Mike,

happy new year
I wanted to let you know that I have received the pcb today and installed it,,,,and it works perfectly

thank you very much

XXXX"
(no - he isn't a Qld beer - name changed)

It makes me very happy to know I have been able to get his machine up and running at minimal cost to him and so easily - sort of makes my efforts all seem worthwhile  ^^^

The board in question is here:

Great work Mike - He would have been in REAL trouble without the board or someone to help him.
