Ok, looks like the WA guys have had xmas come early with all those beautiful machines arriving in Joes containers, beautiful.

Does everyone like the red on the Premium and LE models ?  !@# !@#

I am seriously thinking about getting my legs, backbox hinges, siderails and lockdown bar powdercoated in fire engine red. This will make my Pro machine a PRO HYBRID of sorts. I can always powdercoat it back to standard black if i want to as well.

What would a PRO look like with the full on red treatment ?  !@#  !@# !@#

$#$            DECIDED I AM GOING FOR IT WITH THE RED TREATMENT. I will take all the black stuff to the powder coaters tomorrow. Shld have it all back withing 3 or 4 days and will add some photos.   $#$

That LTBR looks ssssssssssssooooooooooo good. Is that pic from WA?

YES. picture from WA container.  Red looks sooo dam good.   Will make my PRO look better I hope.

I am waiting on a phonecall for the final price to powdercoat everything RED. I am expecting a price of apx $80 tops for the lot.

Will know by tomorrow $ incase other PRO owners want to go RED with a LE look.  ^^^

Anyone want to buy a ACDC for $12,500 ($3200 over the original price)

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AC-DC-LIMITED-EDITION-BACK-BLACK-PINBALL-MACHINE-NUMBER-90-/190674723184?pt=AU_CoinOp&hash=item2c65196170

I am not sure if its right for Stern dealers to profiteere from machines and sell them way over the normal retail ! (if a customer had bought it, and was reselling maybe, but a Stern dealer jacking the price doesnt seem right to me).

Anyway, anyone want to fork out $12,500  *.* *.* *.* *.* *.*

Sounds like a lot, but if someone missed out and badly wants one, it may not be so bad.
Say the Aussie dollar goes back to 0.70 US in a few months time. Any thing that is imported will be more expensive so make the most of the current good times while you can. May be the idea of Stern setting up in Australia could be feasible and machines could be made much cheaper for export from Down Under.
All I know is that AC/DC came out at the right time and is a winner for years to come.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

Well what can I say but WOW!!!!!

Popped in to Mr Gorgar's place last night and checked out his BIBLE machine.  Serious serious eye candy with game play to match.

Well done and congrats to all those who were brave enough to buy one of these machines sight unseen.  A true classic and very collectible machine for sure.

POWDERCOATING

I went down to the Powder coaters today to try n match the red on the legs/lockdown bar etc of the LE.  It seems the fire engine red of the LE is a signal red powder coat over a white base coat which gives it a orangey/red fire engine red look.

May not be able to replicate identical colour and may have to get a slightly darker red, but still should look really good.

Just noticed, AC/DC THREAD HAS REACHED OVER 10,000 VIEWS WITH OVER 1000 REPLIES. Not a bad effort for AP.  ^^^

Electric red powdercoat from the Interpon range is red with slight orange undertone.

I did it to the legs on my AFM which has a red/orange cabinet colour scheme.

thanks matey, much appreciated. We couldnt get a great match and the wife got the shits waiting in the car.lol  !*!

so i had to cut the colour picking short but am going back tomorrow all guns blazing. The more i think about it, its a choice between going for a different red and having a one off or matching the LE red as close as I can. When u actually look at the red on the AC/DC cabinet, its a blood red, so the fire engine red is alittle orangey/bright but whatt ever the outcome is, it shld look really good.

Will post pics of the finished product.  ^^^

Yeah just go for a red that suits the cabinet, don't worry about what the LE red is as no one will every know and you never know it may look better.

Cavey, was checking out a couple of photos I took of the premium just down the road - I reckon if you picked a red similar to a red in the speaker centre on the cabinet so that it is a fraction lighter than the AC/DC logo if that is possible so the logo still pops otherwise the logo may get a little lost, if you know what I mean.
