The "Premium" and the "Let there be Rock" have the SAME headbox artwork as the Pro, WTF ? now I am confused, that cant be right can it ? surely Not ? !@#
but the sidetrim metal along the side of the cabinets is different for the Premium and the Let there be Rock. ?

how can the headbox artwork on the Premium and the LE Rock be the same as the Pro, and each other ?  !@#, something aint right there. ? is that a mistake, or a hybrid, or whats going on.

Also, if u look closely at the paperwork on the first Back in Black, there is a note which says "this machine belongs to Gorgar 1 in Australia, hurry the fark up and deliver it to me".lol  %.% %.% %.%  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

whats going on with the same headbox artwork for the premium/Let there be Rock /Pro?  !@# !@#  maybe those Spanish instructions have krept back in ! lol  @.@ %.%

ohhh, and the face edges of the two last games have blue edging on the front leading edges, like the back in black, yeh, so the whole photo aint worth dog do do. Its un-finished, OK, i get it now, someone jumped the gun and took a worthless photo at the Stern factory. (THANKS FOR BLOODY CONFUSING US !- GREAT !

I posted this on another thread but worthwhile for those guys getting a AC/DC just to be aware of:

http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?topic=8044.0

Just to add to the wear around the flipper buttons, my Iron Man has the Candy Apple Powdercoated Armour Trim and it must be noted that the paint has chipped off (about size of a 5 cent piece but elongated a little) on the left side about 4-5 cms from the button towards the lockdown bar = lots of guys who are married (guessing). I checked the play count and 4200 paid games have been played.

So those people getting a AC/DC - LE or Premium just be aware, though not sure on the solution but you may start to see wear on the left side after a while. Maybe some vinyl start button protectors from pinball pal ????

NEW (I think) - LE FEATURES BEING RELEASED, HOPEFULLY ALL TRUE.

"I came across this at pinside where a guy got this info from Pinball Bash .
Found this update on Pinball Bash. Implies that this update comes from Steve Ritchie himself! This is looking better and better...

The AC/DC Limited Editions… what you don’t know.
A Hells Bell plastic toy that swings when a pendulum ball attached to the bell is hit. It’s
awesome and it is ours, custom made to my specs. It is beautiful. You bash this thing and
interesting things happen! Watch out!
A hidden magnet below the bell can start the bell swinging without being hit! This is like a mini-golf open-close skill shot, and is fun!

A high-powered ejector pocket behind the bell pendulum ball is used as a lock and shoots the ball out at high-speed under/through the pendulum ball.
It has a beautifully molded *BIG* AC/DC Rock N Roll Train with LED headlight above the left ramp. It is a custom toy that we own and was custom molded to my specs.

An Animated Bandstand with all band members rocking and swaying back and forth, the
drummer raises and lowers his drumsticks, and Angus’ leg kicks out like he is doing the duck walk. It’s like a 4-inch tall by 10-inch long Swiss music box mechanism, and makes people smile! It’s just cool! It always rocks in time with the music.
There’s an extra diverter on the left ramp that feeds a cross-track so that the cannon can be loaded from either ramp.

An animated Highway to Hell multi-LED “Flames Tunnel” that looks like burning fire.
A 5 bank of drop targets with great rebounds and spells AC/DC.
A 3-bank of drops in the center, spell T-N-T and include a SLAM target to hit when all 3 targets are down. The SLAM is inset fairly deeply, so it isn’t a gimme. Some of the rules require that you have to knock all 3 targets down to have a SLAM hit count.

4 standup ROCK targets on the right side, so it is possible to hit targets in all 3 banks with one good shot.
An animated Detonator with a coil that triggers the T.N.T. feature and sits right above the T.N.T. drop targets. It’s just fun to hit, and with our lighting (BEST EVER) the game goes off!!!
A 12-inch woofer and a newly revamped sound system done scientifically that
rocks! (The PRO and Premium still have 8-inch woofers but also benefit from the improved cleaner audio.) Even a deaf man can hear the difference!!!!

A LOWER PLAYFIELD (Hell) with Lexan window, Lit in RED, two smaller (WPT size)
flippers, 3 targets, and a two way orbit shot for fast crazy fun. The ball inside is always there for instant play. It’s fast and furiously fun, especially repeating orbits two ways! It can also be removed for cleaning with 4 screws. This is just one feature that lets me have a bunch of features and the real estate usage of a wide body without the slow play.

“Rosie” has been downplayed a bit, mostly from the standpoint of taste and family game room appeal. There are images of her in the backglass and some on the playfield, but they are from the neck up more or less. An owner/operator will be able to change a software adjustment to allow the full Rosie effect on the dot matrix display.

Beautiful laser cut side armor with a large cannon, lightning bolts, AC/DC logos, etc. The side armor, legs, front molding, and backbox hinge are powder coated glossy bright red in the Let There Be Rock LE model.
The Backbox hinge is also laser cut in the shape of Angus’ guitar, about 10 inches long, and it’s stunning. This is a unique feature.

Both laser cut side armor and hinges have bright yellow gloss backing plates behind them, (for the release of Let There Be Rock LEs) and the look is outrageous.
Lyman’s writing some great rules! Future updates (“Performance Packs”!!!) are promised,
guaranteeing no unfinished code! Lyman gets to work on it until it is a masterpiece.
The LE game is lit with LEDs, including mostly double LEDs and a bunch of different kinds for absolutely stunning lighting out of the box! The game is bright because I have added a lot of LED’s to the LE, over and above the quantity of bulbs in the PRO. Bulbs are more efficient and provide more light than LED’s on the whole, so the Pro looks plenty bright too. There are some great lightshows that are mega-powerful and entertaining!!
We have 4 independently controlled General Illumination zones. The playfield and back panel can be All RED, All WHITE, or All BLUE LEDs, and is its brightest best when all the strings are lit. I could see how someone might want to customize the LEDs even further, but it isn’t necessary. We already did it.

The AC/DC tunes don’t step on themselves!! The game rocks and plays very, very well, but is a very different approach to a pinball game rule set.
The rules are unique and built around the playing of a certain song/mode, but bonus can be accumulated for all other song/modes while playing the one feature song. Our music doesn’t change all the time, and it is more fun than having the music interrupted all the time with new tunes, BUT, the player can change the tune/mode if he wants to!
The music coming out of AC/DC is much higher quality, doesn’t step on itself, and the game is massively entertaining.
We also have 16 multicolor LEDs under clear inserts in key positions! This means that when the three lane change lights above the 3 lanes are green, the lanes light a lock! When they are amber, they can light Extra Ball! When they are purple, completing them can award an instant multiball! Shots can be many things, and the colors will lead you through what you need to do!
We are very excited about this.
The dots display is now all LED’s."

Sensational guys. Ssensational.

The artwork being pretty much the same on the Let there be rock, Premium and the Pro makes life a little boring, however, it just means that Gorgar(Pete) is so far the most switched on bloke to take a dig at the Back in Black from day one.
Perhaps the side armour metal will be enough with the different translites to really differentiate the models etc, making them all highly wanted. I think a Premium model will go next to a Pro at my house very well if business stays alright. Its certainly not a given, but it doesnt hurt to dream huh.

Its hard to say really, because the pro is so dam good, and the music package is what this AC/DC machine is really all about. I wonder how many collectors, will end up having a few different AC/DC models in their line up. I think Silverball was already switched on enough to have already ordered a pair. Smart thinking I would say.  Notwithstanding, that the money to do this by anyone, cannot be underestimated, because it is alot of money to anyone. But its a great thought to think that someone on AP might end up having a few variants. Pete's place in Melbourne, I think is going to be a very sought after address for the next 12 monhs.lol(lucky bastard).lol

The problem, now is, that anyone who even wants a BIB or LE Rock etc, aint going to be able to find one anyway. Premium here has to be the answer. I didnt think they would sell as many Premiums as Pro's, but i think that theory just went out the window. The premium shld be a great seller after reading that latest Steve Ritchie info.
I am sure, Bruce from AMD and Joe from Interstate are going to have ALOT of new buyers come out of the wood work and want one the moment we all see the models properly the first time.I wonder what our American friends/collectors are thinking IF the large majority of the LE models are heading over seas. I wonder if anyone with a close communication line could find out just how many LE units are staying in the USA. I am sure the various Stern dealers are getting some, but it will be hard to sell extra units given massive demand, a very small run. I mean, how far can the 200 and 300 only go for the whole world ?

You can tell the confidence in the statements made by Steve Ritchie when he talks about the game. You can tell he has a massive amount of confidence with this one.
I wonder if Mr Gomez, and his next title "Resident Evil" can get a leg up and give Mr Ritchie, the king of the Pin, a run for his money.

Thanks again guys for the outstanding info. it just gets better every day !  ^^^ ^^^ and yes, I am rambling and totally obsessed with these new AC/DC Sterns, so sorry for my constant chatting/typing, but it really is alot of positive fun stuff if u are addicted to the pinball hobby. Playing one / a AC/DC pin makes things better (or worse) because that itself revved me up even more. lol

Grassi-Arse as well.lol  %.%
