My first 80's Bally
« on: February 15, 2009, 04:17:51 PM »
Picked-up an Elektra today. Its in reasonable nick, some PF wear which i hope to fix down the track. Someone has replaced the RHS main PF flipper mechs with older Bally parts, and its been disasembled. I may try and fix what is there, or source the original parts. It talks (I noticed bit of a buzz when first turned on, but stopped after 30 secs), displays are excellent, and needs a good clean/re-rubber. Cab is ok, will clean good, backglass is 10/10 it looks new. Plexiglass PF will never wear, the whole bottom of main PF is plexiglassed (not sure about lower PF though).  Some broken plastics, but at least they are complete. I am pretty stoked to own a Bally, and this is a 3 level game.

Congrats Sinbad !  ^^^

That is one of the best upper playfields i have ever seen on an Elektra. ( in terms of artwork/ wear to wood. )  @@*

Usually that crystal looking thingy  !@# in the centrer of the playfield is completely missing, showing wood.

Very nice pick up.

Is that the Elektra that was on Ebay ?

Nice pick up regardless... #*#

An interesting Bally. Looks like it should come up a treat after a clean.

Bit of an update. I have Elektra working, re-rubbered and cleaned. I just need to get the caps replaced on the sqeak and squalk (buzzing sound). Ken will be fixing that sooner or later though.

Here is pic of my line-up :)
