« on: March 10, 2012, 10:16:33 AM »
Hi guys in going to look at an Atari superman hopefully this weekend the owner is thinking about selling.  It has not worked in years only GI

Played one years ago and remember liking it a lot - gorgeous to look at too, a couple of spinners, neat layout.

Please buy it mate - I'll be over to help you any time!!

It is a very nice game from its era.
I like it a LOT.

Good sounds , decent speed of play for a wide body.
It was one of the first games I dropped some coin in at PHOF as I hadnt seen one for years.

Bit of a drainer from the centre target bank to the right side drain.
Some neat features like the left 'sling' side gap and the right side shooter return.

An excellent game, Daniel. Artwork is fantastic and the gameplay is also very good. I think the backglass art is one of the best of this era. They are difficult to repair, but I'm sure that with your skills, that won't be a problem. $500 is a bargain for this title.

$500 is a bargain, anything Superhero is sought after.
If its not going though, it could take a lot to fix it, not really ripping the guy off, the risk is all on you.

Howdy Dan,

The last 2 or 3 i'd been watching on ebay went up around $800, i think all 3 started at $500, but these were all working machines, so i think $500 for the "GI only" one you're looking at is fair.

I think there's mixed thoughts on it as many people hate ultra-wide bodies (too slow) and lacking things to do compared to modern dmd machines.....but then the superhero factor kinda compensates too ;-)
At the end of the day, it either grabs you, or it doesn't.

Sadly it's a gen2 cpu board, which is a little more of a bitch than the gen1 (middle earth) board.
I have more gen1 boards as spares, but no gen2 stuff.
