EM dudes - Guess the game
« on: February 16, 2009, 12:27:48 AM »
Got a lead on an EM sitting "broken" at my nephew's music teacher's house. He didn't think to look at the manufacturer or game name (need to train that young feller better!) but he thought it was a disco theme. Definitely an EM as he did note that it didn't have displays for score like my games, but had "old fashioned ones that click over".

So - what are the disco themed EM's, and are any (despite the theme - yuck!) worth having?

yep - Stern DISCO..

How old is your nephew?? DISCO is unknown language to a kid - arent they all RAVES now??\

Maybe a Segasa NIGHT FEVER... LOL - Stern DISCO id give a wide berth unless its a $100 machine.
Segasa made bloody good machines, BG on my 1972 Segasa is still a solid 10/10. If its a Segasa, then its compatible with WMS parts and made better than WMS of the same era. If this is what it is, then this EM could well be with you in 30 years time in bloody good condition still. Segasa did do good quality stuff

He's 16. I suspect the word "disco" must be on it for him to even know the word. The Segasa game might be easy to get past Mrs Pinnies4me (maiden name Miss Nopinniesanymore4you) due to the unnatural like of John Travolta she displays...

I recon it could have been a Gottlieb 71 Cresendo or Groovy, or maybe a Gottlieb 71 NOW.
Both have Beautiful artwork.

That's an interesting one - my guess is multi player based on what was said re displays: "old fashioned ones that click over" (note the pural).

Does that cut any out?
