Prototype Strobe unit for Flash Gordon Pin
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:16:03 PM »
This unit uses a high power 10W LED and it is too bright to look at - the video doesn't do it justice really. The board fits straight in where the original went (in behind the backglass near the top) and there were many Flash Gordons that were sold WITHOUT this module so it should be very easy to install if a machine doesn't have one.

I will send this proto to the owner of a Flash Gordon who asked that I look into it and if it works OK I will put it into production. Typically this process takes 2 to 3 months as a minimum.

Now that's a coincidence ! I was on a waiting list to order one from MAD Amusements. But they don't like answering emails or preparing orders for Aussies !

I'll take one when ready. Mine is missing the strobe unit completely.

Do you have the metal bracket? If not I am preparing an accurate drawing so you can make your own - I'll post it up soon

Machine is in storage Mike. I'll need to check. I'd say it is missing the bracket.
