No surprises there. Let's see where it is in a year.

.....and Tron LE went from number 1 to 29 overnight.

Transformers LE also at number 4.

Looks like pinside has become a very reliable gauge on pin rankings.  #@#

You'd think AC/DC will be top 10 for a while due to sheer weight of numbers sold

Tall poppy syndrome - for the knockers.
Beauty in the eye of the beholder - for the lovers.
The Pinside top 100 is as biased as an election pole - take it with a pinch of salt.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.

The B/W fanboys won't allow that.

I played the premium...meh whats the big deal??
Sure it's miles better than the pro but it still isn't anything to get overly excited about unless your a acdc fan.

Acdc are ok, I have seen them live and it was fun but there are plenty of bands out there with way more talent and much better songs.
As far as the pin goes its just another band pin for mine, I was really looking forward to playing the premium after the pro, hoping that it would elevate my opinion..it sure was better than the pro thats for sure..still...nothing overly special but I can understand why it has caused the ruckus it has amongst the faithful.
It's whatever floats ya boat I guess.

Well, the Tron LE/Pro saga has corrected itself with the benefit of a few more votes, so ACDC will do the same over time (which is probably a bit on the harsh side as it stands right now).

After having extensive game time on the ACDC Premium it is definitely one of Sterns better pins, no doubt about it. As it is, the Premium/LE would right now sit in the Top 30 for me (with the Pro sitting MUCH lower as they are essentially a totally different playing experience).

If/when the code is completed it should break top 20 easily (probably peaking in the low teens) but for that reason it is a bit silly for it to take the number 1 spot at this point in time.

The band/theme means nothing to me, as does the so called "rockin" sound (I could just buy a jukebox for the same experience). Gameplay always takes priority for me (strangely enough) and it just seems to be "not quite there" in terms of that. There is nothing really innovative in terms of interactive toys that affect gameplay that hasn't been seen before and it is almost as if there was a pre-existing generic design on file at Stern that they dug out and then decided to throw a bell on it to make it theme specific.

For pinball to grow, they need to expand into new markets (see JJP), not simply appeal to the same old, same old for the quick and easy buck.
