Galaxy, another grail title to the collection!!
« on: June 14, 2012, 06:18:11 PM »
Hi guys, a few pics of my latest acquisition, Stern Galaxy!  #*#

Yet another game from the good old days, and one i used to really enjoy on site  *%*
Brought this one home last Sunday and set it up on Monday. This is the same Galaxy i documented the cab repaint on a year or so ago, it came from a mate/client of mine who i scored my Wms Flash from. Its ironic that i originally was given Flash to do the cab repaint on this game, and i now own it  :lol well not quite, i still owe him the money, though he is giving me time to pay him.

Now i have to sell something else to pay for it, so as a result i'm letting a few EMs go  !!! since ALL my SS games are keepers im forced to sell an EM to pay for this one, plus a couple more to make some room and to help pay off a few debts, much as i hate to do it  !!!

More pics.. Backglass is in great nick, with only very slight cracking evident, first thing i need to do is to seal it so it doesn't get any worse  *%*

PF as some wear that the previous owner had a go at touching up, It need a good clean up, it has no mylar on it hence the wear, i havent taken any closeup pics of the pf as yet. The only issues with the game are the pf needs to be restored (will get to it in time) and it had an MPU locking up issue when the previous owner had it, which hasnt happened since i brought it home, that i'll look into when it raises its ugly head again.

Plus it has the wrong apron fitted (wrong artwork) so i need to repaint another apron for it.

An underestimated game. Very fast, and an awesome player designed by Harry Williams. Congrats !

I regret selling mine. Should have kept it and my Meteor.

Cheers guys  ^^^ Like Flash when i got it from Martin originally, i hounded him for ages trying to get this one out of him.. only took me a couple of years  :lol now all i have to do is pay for it.. and to do that i'll be selling an EM or three.

Man your having a good run with grail pins Mitch keep up the good work.  Couldn't be to many more your chasing???

Daniel there are still several id like to have someday, Ali and Quicksilver are two more Sterns that i really enjoyed back in the day. I'm being a LOT more picky now with game titles, only looking for titles now i played and enjoyed back in the good old days, rather than buying anything that comes along. Thats why i'm now starting to sell off some of the games that i bought just on a whim, which basically means most of my EMs.

My Stern Lectronamo fitted that category (bought on a whim, and the only SS i did buy that way) so it was sold. ALL of my ss games are keepers  *%* *%*

There would probably be a another half dozen or so machines that would grab if they came up for sale, (space and finances permitting of course)

Its great to see that these machines that brought you such great memories back in the day are doing it all over again. Enjoy.
