So the AC/DC LE machines were a sellout, right?
« on: June 18, 2012, 02:27:23 AM »
"All sold out worldwide in 2 days and impossible to find NIB anywhere" as some are claiming.

Then take your pick from almost a dozen available from this seller alone:

Numbers 12-20 in LTBR available plus more and no shortage of NIB BIBLE either.

Obviously the definition of sold out needs to be reviewed.  #@#

Kudos to the people who bought a machine to play, rather than the sole purpose of profiteering.  ^^^

I did contact all Australian based Stern agents and nobody had LE stock. Obviously that does not include those private sellers

AMD are still advertisng them for sale.. !@#...maybe they should take the LE off the website, it gives the impression that they still have them for sale.

Remember when AMD asked for deposits to ensure they could secure an accurate number of LE's and not be caught out?

Makes you wonder how collectors in Aus were able to get their hands on Spiderman Black long after they were "sold out", too.  %$%

Yes no issues with AMD or the fact of them being sold out. Given the cost I wanted to see and play one before committing. Hats off to those who took the gamble.

I emailed all the authorized agents & AMD on the off chance one was available.

I settled for a premium and I am very happy

I think the market might be almost tapped anyway for this title. #@#

Maybe, maybe not.

I did not consider one until I played it, so I missed the initial rush.

I know a few people who have not played it and would probably consider it as well.

But I agree further sales will be 1's & 2's not container loads

the real test of this title will be how many LE's actually are on-sold seconhand, very few in my opinion however time will tell. Very few Elvis pins are traded these days, I think this will remain the same for the LE AC DC's.
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

I agree, I doubt there will be many LE machines on the 2nd hand market at all, they will stay in collections for ages.
I think there will be plenty of pros up for grabs 2nd hand, unlike superior stern pro's like SM and IM which are almost impossible to find now.

I can't see many more people who haven't already bought one splash out.
Non pinheads that just love the band will buy the pro becuase it is cheaper than the Premium, that is if they decide to buy one at all.

I agree, no second hand LE's, yes some AC DC pros will eventually be traded most likely ex operator sited games.
