just got a email from AMD this afternoon.

"Greetings Pinball Fans!!
At last we can give you some details about Stern’s next pinball model.
It is ‘Avengers’, designed from the movies, not the comic book art.
Gary will make 2 x Limited Edition versions in December with a small quantity of Pro and the Premium versions in the new year.
We will receive both L.E. versions early in the new year and they will be much the same price as X-Men L.E’s $8950 incl. gst - $2000 deposit required with your order.
I have no photo’s or details of features and cannot set the final price as yet. These details will be available in about 10 days!
Please contact us if you are interested – we have been allocated a very small quantities of both L.E’s so first in guarantees supply!
Thanks and best regards,

Swinksy,
The bright white glow ball u see on that advert above, is the same white glow ball that appears in each hand of the Magneto character on the
X Men Pro machines left hand side, cabinet art !.....

Statements made but not yet 100% confirmed from the pinball show this weekend that:
- the pro will leds - but no price change
- 3 flippers
- upper playfield (with WH20) referenced - not sure if a premium / le only
- HULK LE, and AVENGERS team LE

other comments were the Avengers is the last dmd as the next pin will be a lcd and the pro's won't change in price in the future but the premiums and le's will wear the cost of any price increase of the pro's.

Sounds promising. I might buy another NIB if they get it right.

I was told today only Pro and 2 x LE models are being done...no mention of Premium model at all !

I have already asked Bruce/AMD to reserve a Pro Avengers for me (subject to my final approval once i see it etc) but it sld be fine...I cant see them releasing anything other than something great. The whole design team has a say in it these days, incl Steve Ritchie, John Borg and George Gomez.
It cant be stuffed up with all the new talent involved...

Bring on December and January !

Great news, Brett!

Loved the Avengers movie and I don't think they could go wrong with this pinball machine. Part of my indecision about buying a Tron was the thought of a good colourful Avengers machine with LCD from Stern. I went with the title I have wanted since before it was even announced.

I look forward to playing Avengers and hope someone in my area grabs one. With a new bowling alley opening in the next few weeks, we may even see a sited pinball machine or two back in a public establishment.

Cheers!
Adam.
