Any members order a Avengers Pro, or a Avengers LE in the last 2 weeks over n above Swinksys Pro and Freihlers Hulk LE ?   !@#

I'm looking forward to getting mineespecially when so many have said it is a good fun layout / game - can't wait. Alot of people are very happy with their machines apart from a few visibility issues which some guys are starting to nut out and come up with some neat solutions (for the LE's).

I don't think you could go wron with an Avengers purchase. At the end of the day, it's a brand new pinball machine and lots of fun to be had. But, will it end up like a Transformers or a Tron, time will tell. My choice would be a blue Premium, but would get fun out of buying a Pro and modding it with powder coated rails and LEDs etc.

I would have liked a LE but $3k difference, and sure I will be happy with mine and yes plans for some custom stuff down the track just to personalise it a little.

here are a few under the hood shots out of interest:
- they are painting most of the cabinets now  #*#
- it looks like they have super bright leds on little circuit boards for the inserts now

is this on any previous stern games?

I know they are switching to this sort of system with the new SAM 2.0 system and trialling the full blown version with the board sets in 10 AC/DC premiums and also on "The Pin". It's probably a cross over on these LE's which is pretty cool.

Stern was trialing these new insert boards over 2 years ago when Gary Stern went to China and had a full game converted over to modular boards under the playfield with Leds. There is a video around with a few machines down the back of the factory with 2 x machines fully converted over. I know they have been working on the new backbox boards off n on for the past 2 years as well.

Now that demand is up, and Stern has the funds, it looks like they are pushing ahead with the different design from over 2 years ago.

Imagine the machines in 12 months time, will have some cool features. Last of the last will be Avengers probably before the new boardsets n new modular cabling n under playfield boards.

I just read on the Stern site that they are now able to produce 75 games/machines per day !

I always thought it was around 25 to 40 per day, but its now up to 75 a day, which means they are now almost 100 percent more productive than before.
