sounds like your not really digging it.
8 games is enough to get the buzz if a game is for you or not, well it is that way for me anyway.
I know within the first game or 2 if a game is for me or not.

I am going to pop down tomorow and play some games on the XMen PRO at Surfers.
Like any new stern machine, I am imagining that alot of code updates will be done in time and that can make a game sooo much better.

Pete(Gorgar), I will give you a rundown since we both like the style and gameplay of AC/DC etc, I will let u know about the X Men Pro.
I would still lean towards a Tron Pro re-run model cause a X Men will be easy to get a bit later, but once the BNIB TRONS are gone, they are gone and that new translite looks very sweet.
I am going to probably order a TRON depending on deposit amounts etc prior to delivery in 12 weeks time. If the XMen really blows me away, I could change, but TRON looks n plays sweet. Its soo different. X Men will probably feel very close to the speed n flow of AC/DC. I will let u know.

If anyone in the Newcastle area wants to have a go of one of these, there is an X Men LE at Pizza N Pinball. Had a game on it tonight

had some more games today, this machine has a shaker motor in it too which is cool, must have been ordered with it. The LE's dont come with one for some reason  !@# Hard to hear the audio in timezone as the place is so loud.

The whole layout of the pin reminds me of Tron with a reverse/opposite playfield layout and instead of the spinning disk shot there is two shots instead. Double inlanes on the right and the flippers off centre to the left just like Tron. The spinning disk isnt working on this machine which took some fun out of it.

It doesnt have a spinnig disk, only the LE does Rob. It has the magnet only in its place.

I went there today as well n played it.

doh!  just had a go on the LE, the spinning disk is the game maker, throws something different into the mix
The moving ramp is a nice feature but blocks the upper right flipper.

Need to play both a bit more, not sold on it yet, seems strange and unusual but that is not a bad thing...

Time will tell

The spinning disc is the only thing I will miss on the pro but it isn't worth the extra 2.8k to buy a LE imo.
The nightcrawlers and the moving ramp do nothing for me and I like the artwork on the cab and translite better on the pro.

Daz, u are right.
The 4 balls all get sucked to the picture of the spinning disk anyway during a mode where the large magnet attracts all the 4 x balls, and when it throws the balls, the magnets go random helping them to move off in directions anyway.
Sure the spinning lights on the disk would be nice, but the PRO is always the best value for money. On this X MEN PRO, value for money comes in spades.
The PRO is a excellent choice. You will not be unhappy with a Pro. It needs nothing extra at all except a pair of mirror blades from Swinksy which I will buy 4 sure.
