I have a new addition to the collection and have been spending a little time tweeking here and there to get this baby running the way it should. When purchased one display was faulty, the middle 3 captive ball chamber flashers were not working and the top left hand plastic was missing.
Display is fixed via resistors, transistor and decoder chip
Flashers fixed via reflowing solder on small pcb pins
New plastic cut for missing piece and have a complete set of plastic scans for the machine. So will print a decal for this plastic
Adjusted pops and rollover switches and she plays perfectly. Even pretty fast for a widebody via back legs set to max height and front leg to the lowest.
I will try to touch up the worn top section, but will probably leave to mylar alone for the rest of the playfield. So no clearcoating I think.
The apron needs a tidy up and the cabinet could do with a repaint but I don't know if its worth going to too much trouble for this type of machine. I don't know what something like this done to near new would be worth on average. These two items I'm guessing would cost around $300 and time alone.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated and here are a few photos with a flash so the colours may be a touch washed out.
