Your least favourite pinball machine to play?
« on: October 24, 2012, 01:06:10 AM »
Not because it was dirty, broken etc... just a game you think sucks balls!

Had the 'pleasure' to play Dungeons & Dragons last week and for the life of me I couldn't get into it. I would have to say it's the worst machine I've played.

Funny you mention Dungeons and Dragons. I have long wanted to play one, and this year got the chance. It is terrible indeed. The addams family, and twilight zone are pretty low on the fun factor for me. One game I at first though thought was bad is Teed-off, but I have recently come around to it.

Least favorite game to play is the machine that needs a flipper kit cause the flippers are weak.  @.@

I am not a fan of any machine that is sooo very slow that you can launch a ball, go n make three coffees before the ball rolls back down to the flippers, hence most pre Dmd games except a very select few will ever get past my front doors, but that's just personal choice.
Many people have more experience than me when it comes to older games so I am always open to new ideas, but fast action and Dmd style games rarely make me pick any specific title as being very bad. They are all fun compared to not playing pinball.

Bally Future Spa - a plodder at best. Artwork is horrific and not even 5 pop bumpers can save this machine.

Hankin Empire Strikes Back - plays about as poor as they come. Some shots (like the shooter lane re-entry) are not achievable other than by chance. The two rows of three round stand up targets are far too close and get destroyed regularly. The upper flippers are there just to help destroy those round stand ups. Pity, it looks sensational, worth having on looks alone, just don't press the start button!!

That's a tough one for me to answer, I used to hate playing any E.M. but now I don't mind them.
I found scared stiff was a bit boring for me but then again I have only played a couple of games on it and I have been told by a good friend not to judge a machine until you have played a decent amount of games on it so my choice may change in the future.

Blackwater 100 - It looks so promising on paper but playing it is a whole another story. The annoying bluegrass music, starting with a three ball multi-ball at the start of EVERY ball. It was the last true Bally machine and you can tell the financial shortcuts they were making, the machine was clunky, cheap and nothing about it inspired me to keep playing (and keep it).
