Well its a new one on me!
« on: November 05, 2012, 06:34:23 PM »
Cant say ive seen this before... have been stripping down a BALLY EM cabinet, took me a while to notice, but i seem to have height adjustment built into the cabinet design so the front legs can be lifted or dropped depending on the playing angle desired. Its definately from factory as the wedge inside has been extended to accomodate this.. also looking at the marks on the cabinet, legs have indeed been in both positions at some point...interesting!

Is it a proto game or did they all come with it on that particular game?

Dont think it was a proto.. game was once a BALLY NIGHTRIDER. Wedge at the back of the cabinet has been extended also but no 3rd hole

I have a Space Shuttle (Williams) with the same arrangement.  Hard to say categorically, but it appears to have come from the factory that way !@#

May have been a request by one of the big Euro importers like Nova or similar to have that option.

Would have taken an extra 15 seconds on the production line.

My TZ and IJ have 3 holes on each corner from the factory, as does my Hot Shot basketball (cousin to Slugfest)

That could have easily been custom, too. Pull the nail out of the leg plate, put the former 'top' leg bolt in the bottom slot, or just turn it 180 degrees, and redrill.
