Ok a deal that does not come along often.
A working CNC machine that you could make pinball cabinets or arcade cabinets as you can fit a full sheet of ply on this machine and away you go.
This machine is for sale on Ebay for $3600, but would take $3000 or even a nice pinball as a clean swap (but the pinnie must be in the high $2k to seal the deal) Always wanted a Baywatch or another WH20 and open to offers of something else.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CNC-XYZ-Wood-Timber-Router-2375x1175mm-process-area-working-hobbyist-shed-toy-/170966326259?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item27ce631bf3&_uhb=1#ht_2717wt_271Bargain CNC going cheap, ideal for the small timber business, timber hobbyist & enthusiasts that wants to step up to a new level of timber machining. Excellent for machining lettering, accurate jewellery boxes, timber gears - sky's the limit perfect for timber up to 1" thick,
The reason that I am not suggesting for large business is this machine is not fast enough to be productive for mass production.

History:
this machine is a hydride cnc, an old American Tekcel machine fitted with a Australian designed and made drive system and control system (created in Redhead, Newcastle, Australia). I worked as a cnc manufacturing technician for 8 years manufacturing Multicam Routers as well as plasma cutters and laser machines and bought our axis motion system for $10k and then got the machine in which I modified the deck to have a aluminium vacuum ready t-slot table top and totally rewired for the drive system and motors / sensors. I used the cnc at home to make some surf furniture on the side as a hobby business for a number of years plus a exotic timber jukebox but hardly used in the last few years.
Why am I selling:
I have my second child on the way (due in 6 weeks) and my new hobby is pinball machines so this machine has to go so I can fit in some pinballs.
How to use:
This is a unique system as you do not need any g-code experience, though you will need some minor cad drawing experience and that is all.
- you can draw a cad file on your own computer and then transfer via a floppy disk
- or you can draw within the drive system as this is a stand alone cnc system
- you then assign up to 8 layers to cut either the inside or the outside of the lines drawn.
- you can assign various depths for the layers as well as cutting speeds but this is always set at around 1000mm per minute on this machine and 250mm for plunge speed.
- you then set your start points and cut all the layers to the sequenced decided / set / required depending on the shape and design.
Issues:
The computers battery has gone so the machine is operational but you need to set the time and date or put a new battery in it
The belts are in good condition but are stiffening a little so has a ticking noise, but there are no cracks and these are reasonably cheap to replace - yates belts
minor surface rust on one leg - nothing structural but a cleanup and protective coat would be good.
Pickup:
I recently have had a knee operation so I could not help to pickup but this machine is large approx 3000 x 1800mm, steel frame, aluminium box section deck in excellent condition
It was moved in with a car float, 4 people and some casters, but some car jacks with wheels will move this out of the garage and the on to a tow truck
or
it is totally dismantle-able and I can assist but you will need to be the main person stripping and remembering where everything goes with notes taken and photos.
Here is a link on youtube for a video I did this morning to show how it works, notice that the monitor actually displays the shapes and where it is in the process of cutting - I can't talk highly enough of this system, very suer friendly. Also the motors, sensors, wiring and control boxes were also used on the Australian Multicam Machine which is what I was manufacturing for 8 years.

Please note: I can assist with a quick tutorial on pickup, and I welcome a inspection when time allows but once the machine goes it is your responsibility and I can not cover any new issues that arise. Axis Motion are still in operation so they can assist with upgrades and fixups.
