Ballast will need to be changed.. if its supplied straight from the mains voltage then US ballasts are different.. ours convert 240V/50hz to 100V... US ballasts are a much smaller step down @60hz.. if run then ballast will fail and more likely the flouro & starter also.
Yes, had to change the ballast on my Black spider, as was just was blowing the fluro when I turned it on.All good now after two fluro and two starter and the correct ballasts.
