PG, after cleaning off the black gunk do you need to lube/oil this at all? Is it nylon or metal?
its metal on metal but quite a loose fit. I thought about grease but decided to just leave it. I don't think the number of plays it gets will be a problem. The grease that might have been there was like granular rubber. I also figured oil would collect dust/dirt and just foul up the unit in no time. If I'm wrong, its a 10 minute job now to get the canon out and lubed.
