The geneva switch is the switch located under the gumball machine with a long contact arm that depresses a microswitch via a plastic cam. Check it out for function Rob.
It seems to be working, I see it on the diagnostics and have activated it in switch test mode as well.

Its like the geneva wheel is out of sync, the ball doesn't drop out through the exit when the switch is activated. So I'm guessing its stopping short of the ball drop chute. I have noticed that when the ball does drop through to the exit, the switch isn't activated until way after the ball has tripped the exit switch.
