I run Krix commercial cinema speakers in my home including subwoofer (same as gold class etc) and Can tell you the best amps in my opinion are the Denon high end. I know you are only talking around $2000 but a second hand one a few years old would be a much better purchase than a cheaper new one for $2000. I have trialed others over the years, Sony, Onkyo, Yamaha and even some other high end separates but I can tell you honestly the Denon big boys are the best. I run a separate amp for the subwoofer of course.
