WTB: flat bed scanner
« on: February 20, 2013, 07:00:36 PM »
Hey Guys,

Want to create some decals of some playfield areas on my grand slam pin so im in need of a flatbed scanner that i can rip the lid off and whack it on top of the playfield to scan. Anyone have an old one they dont need anymore. dont mind paying a couple of bucks for it, just dont want to buy a brand new one

Thanks!

You really need the HP 4670 scanner to do what you want to.

I have an HP 4670 scanner.

As mentioned above, these scanners are ideal for scanning oversized plastics, playfields or even cabinets with ease.

I can't do "a couple of bucks" given what I paid for it (they are long since discontinued and fairly hard to find without paying a premium).

PM me if you are interested and we can discuss price.

Like this: (scanning lid is removable and can be laid flat on any surface).

I just grabbed one of these http://www.buyincoins.com/new_en/details/portable-handheld-book-photo-document-a4-color-scanner-600dpi-handyscan-new-2-product-21482.html.  Haven't printed anything from it yet, but on the screen the scans look quite OK

Discontinued, buy some places still sell them new. I bought mine second hand and it does the job well.
