Saw another method where a small piece of rubber (eg a slice of a post protector) was inserted on top of the blade to hold it down. Quite effective as well.

Sounds like a lot more mucking around, as you would have to trim each piece to fit exactly

Yeah, I am not sure how fiddly it is but this guy seemed to know what he was talking about. I guess you would need to cut it slightly oversize and then squash it down.
