That backlighting kit need to be fitted properly
There have been repords of them shorting out and causing damage to your game

Ohh joy, will look into it when I get them, I fitted the same kind of kit inside my dx6i (RC plane controller) to back-light the LCD and hasn't been an issue..

these EL paper are an electrical device
you are fitting into a metal apron (or is your Trons apron plastic?)(just considered that)

Just a heads up that these "kits" are not plug and play. I have illuminated 4 of my pins so far with these and have had no troubles with shorting out on BW metal aprons.

There are no installation instructions included with these and you will need to buy some trifurcon connector pins and a molex connector housing.

You will also need to locate a 12v source on your machine (usually found inside the cabinet next to the coin door but there is an alternative 12v source in the backbox as well on Bally Williams machines.)

True the advantage of the DX6i controller is it is encased in plastic, but still had to be careful with other delicate electronics inside, and not much space...

I believe the light wires I am putting in my tron pro are also essentially the same technology, though more plug and play delivery..
