T-moulding and cutter wanted for Hankin build
« on: February 19, 2013, 12:48:27 PM »
Hi guys,
I was given a lot of bits to build hankin style cocktail, and was wondering the best place to buy 19mm T-moulding in Australia, I need about 10m.  Also would love to borrow a cutter if someone has one in Geelong or is happy to post backwards and forwards.
Thanks,
Matt

Mate I've got what would be very close to 10 mtrs of brand new chrome t-moulding.  Not 100% on the size but would be very close and can measure if you want.

As I'm getting out of the hobby and all my spares, parts, hardware, tools etc will be going once I finish off a couple more machines for a mate.

What is there of the chrome t-moulding is yours free.  I can leave out for you if you are coming out this way or can try to post maybe next week.

Just send me a PM if you are interested.

Places like Rehau and Surteco make it, anyone who sells edgetape eg: Nover.
Or you could go to a kitchen manufacturer. I don't know if this will help but thats where we buy all our edgetape.
Have you thought of just flat pre glued ABS edgetape? It's cheaper and easier to use and you can get it anywhere.

Thanks for the info Anthony, I have considered edgetape, but I would like it to look close to original.  I have only seen tape which is quite thin, is there different thicknesses ( not widths)? Do places you buy from sell T- moulding as well as edge tape?

The companies that we buy our edgetape from do have the T moulding but it is getting harder to get because there isn't much of a call for it(in Australia) any more. 1mm and 2mm thick ABS or PVC edgetape is the demand at the moment.
I have to talk to our suppliers in the next few days I shall ask them about the T moulding ^^^

I just talked to  a company called "Nover" and they sell it but in 100m rolls. That seems to be the smallest amount you can get from the manufacturers.
If you still only need 10m of it then I would have a look at a small kitchen manufacturer, because they prob did just one kitchen in it and want to get rid of whats left.
That happends to us all the time.
