I have decided against restoring my Fathom due to a lack of time. I have a guy interested in the machine but not the halifax playfield nor a new set of playfield plastics.

Can anyone tell me please where a good place to sell these parts might be? I dont really like using Ebay due to the scams that people try, and Gumtree is even worse...so any other suggestions are welcome %$%

Since you are in the UK I would not spam an Australian forum

Funny isn't it that when I joined this forum some time back, I got some nice replies back.

Then when I ask a perfectly honest question, you consider it as 'spam' as I'm from the UK. Do you have a problem with people outside of your country then?

Hi mate,

once you have posted 20 times you will have access to the for sale section, and sure you will have some takers, we have a few members in the UK, Holland and Germany, hope that helps

Very valid point.. mind you, buying and shipping anything from UK aint cheap.. couldnt be further away and the costs kill us ( i know.. im from UK). Im hoping this is what Pete meant.. sounds like he might not have had his morning coffee when he replied

+1 to that. Popular game if you can find one. I'm sure you'd have some interest here. As Swinks said, 20 posts opens up the for sale section. If you want, you will be able to post a for sale then. Members will be looking for pictures, price and shipping cost.  ^^^

I do have a set of decals already, but have - unless the deal falls through, a buyer for the machine with the original playfield [new owner wants to keep it original] He's buying everything less the playfield & plastics...

I did plan to restore it as you suggest but time is against me and with 40 odd machines to contend with as it is, it's not gonna happen!

Cheers, Doug.

That's a shame, I would have thought that would have been one of the ones to keep, unless you have some beauties in your collection

Yes, it is. But I want to concentrate more toward my EM collection as to be honest, s/s & dm games dont do much for me. it's an age thing, I guess  !@)  I only bought later games as being more modern, they had appeal to my kids but since they have grown up and flown the nest, as it were, there's little point in keeping stuff that I dont really want. That said, I shall be keeping my Jungle Lord as while it's not a highly rated game, it is one that I like to play.  *%*

Cheers, Doug.
