Ahhh, the marvelous English language and countless double meanings. How much can a koala bear? Johny swore......not to do it again. When you're in love with a beautiful woman, it's hard. In Oz you ask for a rubber where in US you say eraser. Did I break the brake pedal of my car during my lunch break?
According to dictionary a bulb is:
1 a. A short, modified, underground stem surrounded by usually fleshy modified leaves that contain stored food for the shoot within: an onion bulb; a tulip bulb.
b. A similar underground stem or root, such as a corm, rhizome, or tuber.
c. A plant that grows from a bulb.
2. A rounded projection or part: the bulb of a syringe.
3. An incandescent lamp or its glass housing.
4. Anatomy A rounded dilation or expansion of a canal, vessel, or organ.
Definition of incadescent:
1. Emitting visible light as a result of being heated.
2. Shining brilliantly; very bright. See Synonyms at bright.
3. Characterized by ardent emotion, intensity, or brilliance: an incandescent performance.
So according to definitions, LED bulb could mean a lamp that shines brilliantly but then it is a diode after all and not a lamp and can't be planted in the ground like a bulb.
Let's just leave it as a LED just as we say ATM and not an ATM machine.
