oh and prices for the states

Pro Version: $4,995
Premium Version (road case): $6,995
Limited Edition Version: (Master of Puppets) $7,595

lets see what this does in Aus, might be more than $100 for each model

These are the prices we should be getting them for.  Our dollar buys $1.04 US dollars, add max $500 each unit for shipping, etc and that's it !@#
At those prices I would consider selling a kidney and buy one

The LE's look the best imo, the cabinet artwork matches the Master of Puppets albulm artwork very well, I wonder how many LE's AMD have managed to secure for Australia?
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

Don't forget that you need to give 10% to our humble government.

Those ramps on Metallica do look steep and i'm concerned about the left hand ramp shot. The opening is small and it's obstructed by the in line target wall - bet ya Metallica can't do back-hand flipper shots!

I don't know one of the band members is right into pins and has quite a few, he might

Kirk has a few pins, James has at least one (the custom whirlwind), they have a few also in their studio.  I have seen a few vids that they have pins backstage as well. Great to see a band so into it, that is another reason I think this pin will rock, they wouldn't let anything not up to scratch pass through

Some autographed translites/back glass like Kiss come to mind.

Distributors (in the US at least) purchase them on a sliding scale discount already, depending on how many units they buy (the bigger the elephant, the more your buying power).

That's how GAP in the US was able to sell NIB BIBLEs for 6100 and still turn a profit.

LE breakdown prediction -
260 export - say 60-70 to Oceania and the rest Euro with a negligible handful to Stern's emerging markets (Macau, HK et al).

240 US domestic inc Canada. The 800 pound gorilla dealers in the US (Betson) will snaffle up a sizable portion of low numbers (sub #25) and list them on ebay for an inflated price.

I would also expect a couple of NIB LE's to hit ebay AU in the weeks following release for 10,000+.  *%*

All this without seeing a video of it in action or even glancing at a ruleset.

Pinball...ya gotta laugh at the direction it is going.  :lol

I gotta say I like the extra bits and pieces on the Premium and don't mind the cabinet but that back glass with it looks shite.  The pro back glass is better than that one.

Again I think it would be great to be able to spec your own pin as has been suggested before.  Eg this playfield, with that cabinet and this back glass etc. Also allow it to be customized later too so that even if you bought the pro model you could still pay for after market upgrades to the software buy the missing toys etc etc. that way whilst you may only sell say 1,000 premiums initially, fast forward one or two years and effectively hou have sold much more than that with after market parts as people have been able to gradually pay for upgrades over time to their initially purchased machines as their budgets permit.

It just seems logical after reading this thread and ones on other sites saying, I like this from the pro, that from the LE etc etc.

Anyhow, either way the game looks kick ass so far and hopefully the game play does it justice too.

Is that a missing tournament button in those pictures or have they changed from yellow to black?

69 LEs ?  I can't see them selling that many here, not at $9250 a pop.
