It looks as though these are the first dozen or two dozen test mule proto-type Metallica Pro machines, which they send out to high usage places like Timezone etc to make sure everything is OK, before the real first big production runs occur. (prototype games from Stern never have the yellow tournament buttons in them).

Its also great to see X Men machines still being built n pumping along. Cool photos !

The cabinet colours of the Metallica Pro looks great !  ^^^

here is a rule card, fairly basic but hopefully a excellent and fun game to play especially with Lyman on the programming

Are these people from rent-a-crowd? The girl in white top has her bag slung over her shoulder so she definitely does not have a worker locker.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

.I did notice that as well . Some time ago, there was a video of Gary talking about getting in casuals, friends n family of line workers to play machines for an afternoon to sort out any issues. So prob the same deal here ?

Machines are numbered so maybe they play test them and note any issues with machine number ? I'd do that for free lol, not long now bring on my machine :-)

I just turned the sound right down on AC/DC and put Metallica on the stereo....it's not the same......although For Whom the Bell Tolls does work with Hells Bells.

Jeez, if I was Stern I would have edited the cardboard out of the pics.  Wouldn't take much to buy some of those rubber mats would it.
Addicted to pins.
