That's the left-over pizza boxes from Lunch !  %.%

I don't know, maybe its to stop them kicking their legs back and hitting Gary Stern in the groin as he walks past or something.
Maybe its a form of torture, listen to Metallica cranked up, and you aren't allowed to dance and u have to keep your feet flat on the ground.
Last person standing (boom boom), wins a pizza for lunch !  %.% @.@

Also, notice how both Stern Managers are down, hanging around the hot chick, and aren't even near any of the others.  %.% *)*

I have written to John Borg - STERN and have politely asked when the Metallica video will be released... ^^^

I will update the thread when I receive a answer/possible likely release date.

They may have the machines ready, but their video production team still have to professionally shoot the video and put the promo together.

METALLICA UPDATE

As mentioned, I sent John Borg, game designer of Metallica from STERN a letter asking about when the video may be released.
Below is the response I received. I also note, John wrote back within only a few hours of my email which was great. John is certainly efficient and is always friendly when I send him a quick email from time to time. It would seem John will take a short vacation for a week or two, then the video will be filmed.
So, I expect the video to be aprox 3 weeks or more away realistically.

Johns response below >

Hello Brett

How are you doing ??? I am not sure of the date the company will release the game play video. I have been here every day for the past three weeks finishing and tweaking the game. I seriously need a short vacation. I would imagine the video will be made upon my return. We did one of the early videos (Iron Man) with a out of house narrator. I’d prefer to do it myself but will depend upon when I vacation and marketing timing of the video release.

I’ll see if I can get Jody Dakenberg to release some snippets of things like the Electric Chair Multi-ball start and Hammer locking balls and such.
I would have to say this has been the cleanest game start up we have ever had.

Game looks great and works great. I’m very happy.

Best regards,

John

Cheers Brett for the update hope they release little snippets like John mentioned while we wait for the full video :-)

a guy on pinside posted his thoughts on playing the game at the factory today, so below are snipets to what he thougth, though maybe a little out of context with the other peoples questions but gives you a good idea for now:

- Great shooting pin. I think everyone will be impressed with the toys in the PRO model. Not such a huge deal between versions. Love the inline drops. There's also a cool shot behind the fuel stand ups I didn't notice before. Music is great. Voice call outs are cool. I really think they'll end up selling lots of pros on this one. Fast/in your face play.

- motorized grave marker is cool but wouldnt really effect gameplay at all. At least not that I'm aware of.
Snake is on the pro but the LE/Premium will do cooler things with the snake.
Fuel bar is no big difference really from what I understand.
The hammer is a big feature on the LE that isnt on the pro at all.
Again, software is early, according to Lyman, but was fun.
My main point was if you cant afford a premium the pro is a blast and really feels full-featured vs feeling like a stripped down model.

- Pretty cool and stackable. I had at least two multiballs going at once. Maybe three (not sure about that though.) You choose music before ball launch as I recall. I stacked multiballs and had a bast.

- fulls songs I believe. I was having too much fun to be super analytical about it. =)

- The premium road case graphics are actually really cool. The translite was ok. I would much prefer the second premium dirty donny translate.

He seems to be very very light on details about when he went to Stern, who let him in, who he arranged to play the Metallica machines with,
how long he was there for, what specific machine he played and where in the factory it was, no photos, glass on or glass off, volume loudness of
machine, who he thanked when he left, and every other detailed thing u would add to a real life visit to Stern. I could have said all that just by reading the Stern brochure.lol

it might be a case of here's a rare chance and a little overwhelming and get into it, and sure they wouldn't allow cameras etc - better than nothing I say
